Book Review: PROPHECY OF THE SISTERS

Title: Prophecy of the Sisters
Author: Michelle Zink
Rating: (I'm leaving this blank.)
Good if...you're my sister. (I'm serious my sister would probably love this book.)

Summary (Amazon):
An ancient prophecy divides two sisters-One good...One evil...Who will prevail?Twin sisters Lia and Alice Milthorpe have just become orphans. They have also become enemies. As they discover their roles in a prophecy that has turned generations of sisters against each other, the girls find themselves entangled in a mystery that involves a tattoo-like mark, their parents' deaths, a boy, a book, and a lifetime of secrets. Lia and Alice don't know whom they can trust. They just know they can't trust each other.

My thoughts...
Sadly. I feel like such a cop-out because I didn't finish this book. People love this book. You should check out the reivews on Amazon. I mean serious check them out! But for me, this book just didn't hold my focus and I can no long keep trying to open it. I got to page 172 out of 343, a valiant effort, but I can go no further. It's not that it was that bad, I'm just bored. Which is sad because in the beginning I was so into it. But by the middle it felt like the dialouge was on repeat. I think for me, this story would have been better in present day. That's why above I said my sister would have loved it. She loves historical romances and I don't. I also would have liked to have seen the twin sister have a bigger role in the book. I won't be rating it because I didn't finish. But maybe you will have better luck. Try it because I seem to be the anamoly of the group.

You know, I think if I read this book I would feel the same way. Everyone seems to love it but it just doesn't interest me. I love your rating system by the way! :)

This is one I want to read, but I'm not so sure yet. I'll probably just check it out from the library before buying it.

I'm so going to be on the look out for other stuff to come from Michelle Zink. I just don't think this one was my taste.

Thanks for the warning. :D Considering how I felt about Beautiful Creatures, I think I'll definitely hold out a longer before reading this one.

I'm one that totally fell in love with this book and read it within the day I first turned it's pages.

To me it was one of my all time faves but we all have different tastes...but I personally loved it and can't wait for book 2.

I didn't think it was like a historical romance at all and I personally LOVED it! I loved the gothic feel of it, if you've ever read any gothic fiction, you would like this.
