WILDEFIRE
by Karsten Knight
Every flame begins with a spark. I like the whole idea of this one. Quite orignial. A Polynesian fire goddess, hints of a steamy romance, an evil sister with abilities of her own, and something about warm and cold colliding. And I like that it's by a male author. Basically, all the YA I read is by women. Don't get me wrong; I prefer women authors. But, I'm also a huge Scott Westerfeld fan. His writing brings something different and I'm excited and hopeful for this one, simply because of that reason.
That's what I'm waiting on this week. What are you waiting on?

THis book sounds really intriguing! I agree about the male/female author thing...I prefer female YA authors but its nice to read something my a male YA author once in a while. Nice pick :)
