Love Triangles {Top Ten of the Moment}

This was supposed to be my Valentine's Day post.  But if you haven't noticed, I've been MIA from my blog lately.  I have other big changes going on in my life lately (non-writing related) and I just don't have the same time I used to have.  Not to worry.  (Don't un-follow me yet!) I'll still check back in here from time to time until things get a little more stable in my personal life.  So on to the love triangles!

Here are my favorite all-time love triangles...
10. LUCAS vs. BALTHAZAR from the EVERNIGHT series
9.  ASTLEY vs. NICK from the NEED series
8.  WILL vs. CASSIAN from the FIRELIGHT series
7.  ZANE vs. DAVID from the UGLIES series
6.  DIMITI vs. ADRIAN from the VAMPIRE ACADEMY series

5.  DEMON vs. STEFAN from the VAMPIRE DIARIES series
4.  PEETA vs. GALE from THE HUNGER GAMES series
3.  JEM vs. WILL from the CLOCKWORK PRINCE series
2.  DIMITRI vs. ADRIAN from the VAMPIRE ACADEMY series
1.  TAMANI vs. DAVID from WINGS

And a few that just almost made my list:
EDWARD vs. JACOB from the TWILIGH series
DANIEL vs. CAM from the FALLEN series

Which YA love-triangles are your favorites?  Did I miss any on my list?

FAERY TALES AND NIGHTMARES by Melissa Marr
I'm looking forward to reading this one.  I really enjoyed WICKEDLY LOVELY so hopefully this novel will be at that same level.  I think it's supposed to be a dark faery tale that mixes stuff readers already know with new ideas.  It's due out next month.  Should be good.  :)

What do you think?  Will you read Melissa Marr's new book?  Have you read her other books?

WoW: Balthazar by Claudia Gray

'Waiting on Wednesday' is a weekly event--hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine--that spotlights upcoming books that are eagerly being anticipated. My can't-wait-to-read choice for this time around is...
BALTHAZAR by Claudia Gray
I'm so excited about this one--already, pre-ordered it on Amazon excited--that I just had to post about it again.  I absolutely loved the EVERNIGHT Series (except the last one was only okay) and I'm just dying to read this one.  It's a companion novel to the series.  And instead it follows only Balthazar...an exceptional character.  It's due out March 6th!  Can't wait!

Here's the summary:
For hundreds of years, the vampire Balthazar has been alone—without allies, without love.
When Balthazar agrees to help Skye Tierney, a human girl who once attended Evernight Academy, he has no idea how dangerous it will be. Skye’s newfound psychic powers have caught the attention of Redgrave, the cruel, seductive master vampire responsible for murdering Balthazar and his family four centuries ago. Now Redgrave plans to use Skye’s powers for his own evil purposes.
Balthazar will do whatever it takes to stop Redgrave and exact his long-awaited revenge against his killer. As Skye and Balthazar stand together to fight him, they grow closer—first unwillingly, then undeniably. Balthazar realizes his lonely world could finally be changed by her. . . .
In a story filled with forbidden love and dark suspense, one of the most beloved characters in Claudia Gray’s New York Times bestselling Evernight series will captivate readers with his battle to overcome his past and follow his heart.

What do you think?  Did you read the EVERNIGHT series?  Are you planning on reading this one?

ILLUMINATE by Aimme Agressi
This one sounds pretty interesting.  It's about a shy outcast type girl would get excepted into some cult-like group of devil followers.  (I'm paraphrasing here.)  And she discovers they're in the business of buying souls.  There's also a cute guy involved in there somewhere.  Anyway.  I thought this one sounded different and so it interests me.  We'll see.  Plus the cover is pretty.  It's due out March 6th.

What do you think?  Does it sound good to you?

BORN WICKED by Jessica Spotswood
Blessed with a gift...cursed with a secret.
Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they're witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship - or an early grave. Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word . . . especially after she finds her mother's diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family's destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra. FAERY TALES AND NIGHTMARES by Melissa Marr
Dangerous promises and beguiling threats swirl together in a dozen stories of enchantments, dark and light, by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr. Uncanny and unexpected creatures appear from behind bushes, rise from under the seas, or manifest from seasonal storms to pursue the objects of their attention—with amorous or sinister intent—relentlessly.
From the gentle tones of a story-teller’s cadences to the terror of a blood sacrifice, tales of favorite characters from Marr’s Wicked Lovely novels mix with accounts of new characters for readers to fall in love with . . . or to fear.
Lush, seductive, and chilling, Melissa Marr’s stories revel in the unseen magic that infuses the world as we know it.

BEWITCHING by Alex Flinn
Bewitching can be a beast. . . .
Once, I put a curse on a beastly and arrogant high school boy. That one turned out all right. Others didn’t.
I go to a new school now—one where no one knows that I should have graduated long ago. I’m not still here because I’m stupid; I just don’t age.
You see, I’m immortal. And I pretty much know everything after hundreds of years—except for when to take my powers and butt out.
I want to help, but things just go awry in ways I could never predict. Like when I tried to free some children from a gingerbread house and ended up being hanged. After I came back from the dead (immortal, remember?), I tried to play matchmaker for a French prince and ended up banished from France forever. And that little mermaid I found in the Titanic lifeboat? I don’t even want to think about it.
Now a girl named Emma needs me. I probably shouldn’t get involved, but her gorgeous stepsister is conniving to the core. I think I have just the thing to fix that girl—and it isn’t an enchanted pumpkin. Although you never know what will happen when I start . . . bewitching.
